Product Details
These small globular pendants were popular among common women in ancient Rome. Some have been described as prostitutes’ pendants and that view is widely published on the internet. This example is 7.3mm, well over 1/4" in diameter of spherical form. It is made of base metal tin/zinc and untouched as found. It is suspended on a Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear and is jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
